Kristin Wolfe Jensen is a highly renown bassoonist and educator. She is currently Professor of Bassoon at The University of Texas at Austin's Butler School of Music.
She is the Founding Director of the Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition, and serves on the faculty at the International Festival Institute at Round Top. She is also currently Principal Bassoon with the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra.
In addition to her CD entitled "Shadings", she has a number of other critically acclaimed solo and chamber music recordings. She has given guest recitals and masterclasses at many major American music schools, in addition to countries around the world across South America and Europe. Many of her former UT students hold prominent orchestra and university faculty positions.
Kristin is also the creator of MusicandtheBassoon.org, an instructional website dedicated to helping bassoonists of all ages, through the sharing free materials on how to play the bassoon.
